Tuesday Mornings (weather permitting)
Senior Golfers
Each Tuesday morning we have a small group of senior golfers that have a "fun" get-together at the Links Golf Club in Fayetteville.  This is a non-serious, have lots-of-fun outing with the likes of Dick Morris, James Howard, Bill Morris, Joe Blanton, Virgil Bourn, Jim Richardson, Ray Davis, Thom Miller, and more.  Tee off is usually at 9:30am and the fee is the seniors rate of $23+tax (includes cart).  If you wish to play, contact one of the players above to let us know to expect you. We have a drawing each morning to decide who plays together.

When you join our group, be prepared for a laughing good time with a bunch that enjoys non-serious golf and good fellowship. Don't worry about how good your game is cause we aren't on the PGA tour either. And if you enjoy cholesterol for lunch, the clubhouse has $1 hotdogs and $1 tea served after the 9th hole.

Join the Children's Ministry Team
As our ministry to young families continues to grow, so does our need for dedicated people who will minister to children. While it is a tremendous blessing to have the volume of babies born into our congregation during the past two years, our volunteer base must grow in proportion. Here are just a few of the ministry opportunities available: Welcome Center Greeter, Arts & Craft Leader, Worship Leader, Wonderful Wednesday Substitute Teacher, Elementary Choir Helpers, and Boys Small Group Leader. Contact Vangie Shaver (Email: v.shaver@christianchurch.net or telephone the church) if you would like to get involved.

Ministry Aid
Providing children with a safe environment in which they can learn and play is a Core Value of our ministry to children at SwCC. We work so hard at it that by the time Summer rolls around, our volunteers are in need of a break. But without volunteer staff we simply cannot provide an environment we know is safe enough for your child. Help us show our Volunteer Staff how much you appreciate them by providing Ministry Aid this Summer so they can rest and recharge for the Fall. Would you consider serving one Sunday in our Children's Ministry during July so our teaching staff can have much deserved time off? You won't be asked to lead a class or prepare a lesson... just assist us in loving children into the arms of Jesus.
A Baby Friendly Church
Baby changing tables are installed in all four rest rooms on the main level. Also, we have pagers for you to carry while your children are in the nursery and hope that these items will give you assistance and peace of mind while you're here  worshiping at the church.
Give Your Faith Away

The best gift any of us have ever received came from Jesus.  Our faith is something precious, paid for by a great price, custom made for you and me.  Please join in sharing your gift with the children at SwCC.  As our ministry to children has grown, so has our need for volunteers.

Attention Parents
We take the safety and security of all children in our ministry very seriously. For this reason, we have set the following guidelines for check-in and check-out in our Children's Ministry.  The procedures are standard for both Sunday mornings and Wednesday night services. Please review them.
  • Check-in will be located at Welcome Centers on the first floor (Early Childhood) and the 3rd floor (Elementary). Please note: Only parents, guardians or siblings 16 and over will be allowed to check-in a child.
  • Children may be checked in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to class.
  • Welcome Center greeters will assist you in giving your child a name tag and signing in your child. Greeters will also ask parents to list locations during their child's stay. This is important in case of an emergency.
  • Check-out will generally occur at your child's classroom. This will give teachers an opportunity to let you know of your child's progress during class. Please note: Only parents, guardians or siblings 16 and over will be allowed to check-out a child.
If for any reason, you must leave the premises, please notify the Welcome Center greeters.
Check-In & Check-Out
For the safety of our children and those who care for them, please remember to check your child in at one of our Children's Ministry Welcome Centers when dropping them off for Sunday School or Worship Hour services. Children may be checked in at 9:15am and may be picked up immediately following the worship services. Siblings 16 and over may retrieve their younger brothers and sisters.
